Great Salad for a Thanksgiving Dinner!
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 package (3 ounces) cherry-flavored gelatin
- 1 cup cranberry juice
- 1 T. lemon juice
- 2 tart apples, chopped (about 2 1/2 cups)
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced celery (about 1 medium stalk)
- 1/3 cup chopped nuts, if desired
Pour boiling water on gelatin in bowl; stir until gelatin is dissolved. Stir in cranberry juice and lemon juice. Refrigerate until slightly thickened.
Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into 4-cup mold. Refrigerate until firm; unmold. Serve with mayonnaise or salad dressing if desired.
