Apple-Cherry Salad


Great Salad for a Thanksgiving Dinner!

  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 package (3 ounces) cherry-flavored gelatin
  • 1 cup cranberry juice
  • 1 T. lemon juice
  • 2 tart apples, chopped (about 2 1/2 cups)
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced celery (about 1 medium stalk)
  • 1/3 cup chopped nuts, if desired


Servings 6


Step 1

Pour boiling water on gelatin in bowl; stir until gelatin is dissolved. Stir in cranberry juice and lemon juice. Refrigerate until slightly thickened.

Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into 4-cup mold. Refrigerate until firm; unmold. Serve with mayonnaise or salad dressing if desired.
