Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 deg. Grease 9" square pan. Place apples, 1 T brown sugar & 1 T butter on parchment-paper-lined baking sheet; toss to coat. Cover loosely with foil & roast until tender (15 mins). Lower temp to 350. Blend flour, sugar, baking powder & 1/4 t salt at low speed. Add 5 T butter & mix until crumbly. Whisk eggs with 1/2 c cream, then mix into dry ingredients. Roll out dough to form 9" rectangle. Mix 1/2 c brown sugar, pecans & cinnamon. Cut up 2 T butter & dot the dough. Sprinkle brown sugar mix on top & cover evenly with the apples. Roll up dough, jelly roll style, and cut, crosswise into 9 slices. Place the slices cut side down in the prepared baking pan. Bake until golden; 35-40 mins. Transfer to rack to cool. Bring remaining 4 T butter, 3/4 c brown sugar, 1/2 c cream, 1/2 salt & honey to boil.
Whisk until reduced. Cool.
Drizzle over the warm buns.
