Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp peanut oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 large Vidalia onions, chopped
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground red pepper (cayenne)
  • 1/8 tsp red pepper

Step 1

Heat oil and butter in large, nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add onions; reduce heat to low. Slowly cook until onions are caramelized, 40-45 min. Remove from heat; let cool. In medium bowl combine remaining ingredients. Stir in onions. Chill; serve. with Terra chips.
