Grilled Shrimp with Piri Piri Sauce

  • 3 tablespoon Butter; melted
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic; minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger; minced
  • 2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest; minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 pound large shrimp; peeled, deveined

Step 1

Preheat grill to medium-high. Brush grill grate with oil.

Heat butter and oil in a saucepan over medium for the piri piri sauce. Add
garlic, ginger, pepper flakes, hot sauce, zest, paprika and salt.

Simmer sauce to cook garlic, 3-4 minutes. Add lemon juice; simmer 2-3
minutes more.

Toss shrimp with 1/4 cup sauce in a bowl. Grill shrimp, covered, until they
turn pink and firm, 1-2 minutes per side.

Remove shrimp from grill; toss with remaining sauce.
