Chipotle-Maple Black Beans

  • 1 cup Onion, diced
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cans black beans, drained & rinsed (15 oz each)
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1-2 Tbsp minced chipotles chilies in adobo
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt to taste



Step 1

Sauté onion in oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat until softened, about 3 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook 1 minute.

Deglaze with vinegar and bring to a boil. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 10 minutes.
