Bunny Bait (Funfetti Popcorn)

By

Funfetti Popcorn can be used for just about any holiday to lure seasonal treat-bringers to your home. I wrote the following poem for Bunny Bait tags:

Here's a treat for Easter Eve
It's known as Bunny Bait.
Before you go to bed, just leave
A little bit on a plate.

Bunnies love to get treats, you see
And can smell popcorn in the air.
So no matter where you happen to be
The Easter Bunny will find you there!

Preparation

Step 1

Break pretzels into pieces and combine with M&M's in a large bowl (may need two bowls, half the ingredients in each). Remove any unpopped kernels and stir popcorn into pretzels and M&Ms. Toss sprinkles over the top.

Melt Vanilla Candy Melts in a microwave safe bowl in 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval until melted and smooth. Drizzle over popcorn mixture, then stir gently a few times until evenly coated. Pour in a single layer onto two wax-paper lined cookie sheets. Allow to cool and harden (put into the fridge for about 10 minutes to harden quickly), then gently break into pieces and store in an airtight container or in treat bags.

Note: I was able to fill ten 9 1/2"x 4" party treat bags about 2/3 full with this recipe.
