Ingredients
- Dip:
- 1 lb mussels
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 cup white wine
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (reserve for dredging)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 tsp curry powder
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- salt & pepper to taste

Step 1
Wash mussels and steam them until they open. Pick mussels from shells and cool. Sift dry ingredients (except second amount of flour) together and add wine. Blend well until smooth. Heat oil/deep fryer to 350 degrees F and dredge mussels lightly in the 1/4 cup flour and dip in batter. Fry until golden brown and drain well on brown paper. Mix dip ingredients together and serve.
