Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 8 oz carton 1 cup dairy sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg slightly beaten

Step 1
Heat oven in 375 degrees. In 10 inch skillet cook bacon until crisp 6-8 minutes. Remove bacon; drain on paper towels. Pour off all but 2 tbsp bacon fat. Stir onion into remaining 2 tbsp of bacon fat. Cook over medium heat until tender 3-4 minutes, cool. In large bowl combine flour, sugar ,baking powder, soda, and salt. In a small bowl stir together bacon, onions, sour cream, milk and egg until well blended. Add to flour mixture , stir just until moistened. Spoon into greased muffin pan. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until lightly browned.
