Ingredients
- 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tbsp butter or margarine
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 large cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp tequila
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 3 tbsp cilentro, chopped
- Hot cooked rice (optional)

Preparation
Step 1
Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. Heat butter and oil in a large skillet over medium heat. When butter is melted, add garlic; cook 30 seconds. Add shrimp; cook 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in tequila, lime juice, salt and red pepper flakes. Cook 2 minutes or until most of liquid evaporates and shrimp are pink and glazed. Add cilentro; cook 10 seconds.
Serve over hot cooked rice, if desired. Garnish with lime wedges if desired.
