  • 1-1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 c. milk plus 1 tsp. soda dissolved in milk
  • 2 c. rhubarb cut fine
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Step 1

Cream shortening and sugar, add egg and beat. Add flour and milk and mix completely. Fold in rhubarb and vanilla. Sprinkle top with ½ c. sugar plus 1 tsp. cinnamon. Bake 375 for 30-40 min.
