Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 c chopped onion
- 1 bottle (12oz) beer
- 1 can fat free beef broth
- 1 1/2 c sliced fresh carrots
- 1 1/4 c water
- 1 c chopped peeled turnip
- 1/2 c sliced celery
- 1 can (4oz)mushroom stems and pieces, drained
- 1 t salt
- 1 t pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/8 t ground allspice

Preparation
Step 1
In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over med heat until meat is done. Drain. Transfer a slow cooker. Stir in the remaining ingredients and cool on low for 8 hrs or until heated through. Discard bay leaf.
