Blackberry-Grape Sundaes

This is a fabulous, easy dessert. With the leftovers (if there are any) I added a little cornstarch and used it as a syrup for our Sunday pancakes.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup each of blackberries and seedless red grapes
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • Vanilla ice cream.

Preparation

Step 1

Cook berries and grapes, sugar and water in a small saucepan over med. heat until juicy, about 10 min. Remove the fruit with a slotted spoon and continue simmering the liquid until syrupy, about 2 more min. Let cool slightly. Stir the fruit back into the syrup and spoon over vanilla ice cream.
