Ingredients

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 c. lemon juice
  • 2/3 c. margarine or butter
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 t. baking powder
  • 1/2 t. salt - optional
  • 1/2 c. oatmeal, quick

Step 1

Blend sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice and set aside. Cream margarine with sugar until light and fluffy. Sift flour with baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture along with oats. Mix with fingers til crumbly. Press half of crumb mixture in a buttered 11 x 7 x 2-inch pan. Spread milk mixture on top ; sprinkle evenly with remaining crumb mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool in pan on cake rack for 15 minutes.
