Chicken and Sausage Gumbo

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 pkg andouille sausage sliced (any sausage will work)
- 2 cups shredded or chopped chicken (can be cooked or uncooked)
- 2 cups okra, fresh or you can thaw the frozen kind (optional) (ADD LAST HOUR)
- 1 can Diced Tomatoes
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup bell pepper chopped
- 1 tsp garlic minced
- 1/4 tsp red pepper powder
- salt and pepper to taste

Preparation
Step 1
Make roux by cooking flour and oil in skillet, stirring constantly until it resembles melted chocolate. Combine roux with broth in crock pot with all other dry ingredients. Mix in all other ingredients. Cook on low 8-10 hours, or high 4-5 hours. Serve over rice
