Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 Tbs. lemon extract
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 / 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 cup flour

Preparation

Step 1

In small pot simmer l-l/2 cups milk w/l-l/2 sticks butter, simmer until butter is melted.
Let cool and add to the sugar mixture and 1Tbs lemon extract

Mix 3 cups sugar with 5 eggs.

Add l-l/2 teaspoons baking powder. Beat 2 minutes

Add 3 cups flour and beat well (2 minutes)

Pour into greased tube pan (I use Pam spray w/flour).

Bake 350 degrees – l hour

Check with knife coming out clean.
