Bacon Cheeseburger Meatloaf *(GOOD)*
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 cup grated onion
- 3/4 cup fresh bread crumbs
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 8 slices American cheese,
- 6 oz. or 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese
- 6 strips uncooked bacon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In large bowl mix together beef, bread crumbs, onion, until eggs and pepper well combined.
Transfer two-thirds of meat mixture to Perfect Meatloaf Pan. To make well for filling, press meat mixture into pan away from center and up sides. Fill center with 1 cup sliced or shredded cheese. Top with remaining meat mixture, pressing sides together to seal edges.
Layer bacon slices, overlapping slightly, over top of meatloaf.
Pick up Perfect Meatloaf Pan by sides, transfer to oven and bake 50 minutes.
Remove from oven by sides of pan and top with remaining cheese. Return to oven and bake 1O minutes more.
Remove from oven by sides of pan to cooling rack. Grip insert by handles and lift meat loaf from pan. Transfer to-cutting board or platter and rest 15 minutes before serving. Caution, cheese fílling ís very hot and will ooze from the center when first sliced.
