Ingredients
- Into each sterilized jar place:
- 5 hard green tomatoes
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp. mixed pickling whole spice
- 1 large garlic clove
- 1 sprig of dill, fresh or dry
- PICKLING SOLUTION
- 4 cups water
- 2 cups white vinegar
- 1/2 cup salt

Step 1
Wash tomatoes; pack tightly into 1 qt. jars or large crock. Bring pickling solution to quick boil. Add bay leaf, spice, garlic and dill to each jar. Pour hot pickling solution into filled jars; seal at once. Keep at room temperature 1 week or until pickled enough for taste; then refrigerate
