Ingredients

  • 2 baking apples, cored
  • 3 tbsp splenda (sugar substitute)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water

Step 1

Prepare apples, core then using a sharp knife, score skin 1/4 in deep in eatable pieces.
Stir together the splenda, cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg in a small bowl. Put each apple in a ramekin, spoon in sugar mixture into apple cavities. Sprinkle lemon juice to moisten the sugar. Pour half of the water into each ramekin.
Microwave on high, until apples are tender, but still firm.
