  • Serving size: Yields 2 (10-inch) cakes
  • 1 yellow cake box mix
  • 1 15 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained (use this for the water in cake mix.)

Preparation

Step 1

1. Follow directions on box mix, combining ingredients in large bowl.
2. Add crushed pineapple; mix well.
3. Divide batter into two sprayed 10-inch cake pans; set one aside.
4. Bake on 1-inch rack on Power Level HI for 25 minutes. Check with toothpick. If it needs more time, start with 2 minutes and then check.
5. When cake is done, remove from pan by placing large plate on top of cake and turning over. Cake should fall onto plate.
6. Repeat baking instructions for second pan.
7. Once both cakes are done stack them atop each other.
8. Dust with powered sugar once cakes have cooled.

You can also use 8x8-inch Silicone Baking Pans, square or round. 8x8-inch pans cook for 22 minutes at 350 degrees F or Power Level HI
