Santa Star Cookies Recipe

In a large bowl, cream the butter, shortening and sugars until light and fluffy
- FROSTING:
- 1-1/2 cups butter, softened
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup thawed orange juice concentrate
- 1 teaspoon Spice Islands® pure vanilla extract
- 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons water
- 4-1/2 teaspoons meringue powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- Red and black paste food coloring
Macaroni and Beef

In large skillet, brown beef, bacon and onion all together until meat is no longer pink
- 1 pound lean ground beef, browned and drained
- 5 bacon strips, diced
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, seeded and diced
- 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes --- any flavor, or plain
- 1 can water (empty tomato can)
- 6 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 (26-ounce) jar prepared pasta sauce
- 1 (16-ounce) package elbow macaroni (I used brown rice pasta)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Onion Roasted Chicken And Vegetables

Preheat oven to 450 degrees
- 1 envelope onion soup mix
- 1/4 cup olive or vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 bone-in chicken breast halves
- 2 medium potatoes, cut into small chunks
- 2 carrots, sliced
Deviled Egg Dip

In a food processor or blender, combine all the ingredients and process until smooth
- 6 hard-boiled eggs, peeled
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Blueberry Cheesecake Cupcakes

1. Start by preparing your filling
- 24 vanilla cupcakes, baked and cooled
- 3/4 pkg cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 of a 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 3 Tbsp simply fruit blueberry jam (by Smuckers)
- Cream Cheese Frosting (recipe & ingredients follow)
Asopao de Pollo - Chicken Rice Gumbo

1 Season chicken on all sides with adobo
- 1 chicken (about 3 lbs.), cut into pieces

In large saucepan, melt butter; let cool
- 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter
- 3/4 cup sugar plus 1/2 cup for rolling
- 1/4 cup dark molasses
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Caramel Apple Cookie Pizza

Heat oven to 350°. Grease 12-inch pizza pan with shortening or cooking spray
- 1 roll (16.5 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated sugar cookies
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 medium apples
- 1/4 cup caramel topping
- 1/3 cup toffee bits
Bacon Chicken Ranch Taquitos

- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 12 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 4 cups pre-cooked chicken, shredded
- 1/2 packet (1 ounce) dry Ranch Dressing mix
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 20 (6-inch) flour tortillas
Tex Mex Appetizer Puffs

- 1/4 cup onion, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound hot fresh sausage
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1/4 cup cilantro
- 1/4 cup green onion
- 1 package puff pastry
- 1 egg, beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
