  • 1 c creme fraiche
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 tbs EVOO
  • 3 lbs. Mild and/or hot Italian Sausage sliced 1/2 inch slices
  • 3-4 bell peppers (red and yellow work best, but green are fine), sliced into 2-3 inch strips
  • 1 vidalia onion, sliced and cut into 2-3 inch strips
  • 1 28 oz. can whole tomatoes in puree
  • 1 28 oz. can tomato puree
  • 3 -4 leaves fresh basil
  • 1-2 tbs oregano
  • 1-2 tbs minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pinch hot red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 - 3 oz. Cooking wine, like marsala total
