Simple Tiramisu

For a lazy summer afternoon, tiramisu is the perfect pick-me-up
- 4 large eggs, separated
- 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon sugar
- 16 ounces mascarpone cheese
- 1-1/2 cups brewed coffee
- 1/2 cup coffee liqueur
- 40 store-bought ladyfingers
- 1 cup heavy cream
- cocoa powder
- bittersweet chocolate
Bread Pudding

1. Preheat oven to 350 2
- 6 slices day-old bread
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups milk
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Candy Cane Cookies

Red and white cookie dough is twisted into candy cane shapes and then topped with crushed peppermints
- * COOKIES:
- 1/2 * 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 * 1/2 cup solid shortening (Crisco)
- 1 * 1 cup confectioner's sugar
- 1 * 1 egg
- 1 * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 * 3/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 2-1/2 * 2-1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 * 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 * 1/2 teaspoon red food coloring

- * TOPPING:
- 1/4 * 1/4 cup finely crushed candy canes
- 2 * 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 * 1 egg white, beaten
Pizza Dough Bread Machine

- 1 cup water Plus 2 T
- 2 T water
- 2 T olive oil
- 3 cups bread flour
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
Summery Confetti Salad

In a bowl, toss together corn, lima beans, green beans, tomatoes, onion, avocado, jalapeño and basil
- 4 cups (6 ears) fresh corn
- 1 package (16 ounces) frozen lima beans, thawed
- 2 cups green beans, blanched and cut into 1-inch pieces*
- 1 cup grape tomatoes, halved lengthwise
- 1/2 cup minced red onion
- 1 avocado, cut into chunks
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
- 10 basil leaves, chiffonaded**
- 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Orange Angel Food Cupcakes with Whipped Cream Frosting

Preheat oven to 350 F. Lightly grease a 12-cup muffin pan (skip this step if using liners)
- For cupcakes
- 3/4 * 3/4 cup granulated sugar, divided
- 1/2 * 1/2 cup sifted cake flour
- 5 * 5 large egg whites, room temperature
- 1/2 * 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/8 * 1/8 teaspoon salt
- * Zest from two oranges, plus additional for garnishing
- For frosting
- 1/2 * 1/2 cup heavy cream, chilled
- 1 * 1 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 * 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Oven-Baked Zucchini Fries
