- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp soda (dissolved in 1 tbsp water)
- 1 1/2 pounds gum drops (sprinkled with flour)
- 1 cup nuts
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 1/2 cups applesauce
- Salt and spice of choice
- 4 cups flour
- 1 1/2 pounds raisins
