- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch cayenne
- 1 egg white
- 2 cups pecans halves

- Kulich:
- 1 package dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/2 pound butter
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 8 eggs, well beaten
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp lemon extract
- 1 quart lukewarm milk
- 15 to 16 cups flour
- 3/4 cup raisins or dried currants
- 1 cup almonds, peeled and halved
- Kulich Glaze:
- 2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
- 2 tbsp warm water
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp grated lemon zest
- A few drops of yellow food coloring

Lentil Chili

In a large saucepan, bring lentils and water to a boil
- 1 1/2 cups dry lentils, rinsed
- 1 cup dry red lentils, rinsed
- 5 cups water
- 1 packet (1 1/2 ounces) dry onion soup mix
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Hot red pepper sauce, optional
- Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese, optional
- Guacamole for garnish, optional
- Cilantro for garnish, optional
Allan’s Zucchini Burgers

Combine zucchini, eggs, wheat germ, cheese, mushrooms, onions and seasonings
- 2 cups zucchini, grated
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup regular wheat germ
- 3/4 cup Monterey Jack cheese, grated
- 1/2 cup mushrooms, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp rosemary leaves, crushed
- 1/4 tsp thyme

Pumpkin Fudge

- 1/2 cup canned pumpkin
