Southern Style Sun Tea

Place tea bags into a clean 3 quart clear glass jar
- 4 - 6 - regular sized tea bags
- 10 - cups filtered or distilled water (2 1/2 quarts)
- 1 - cup granulated sugar or your preference
- ice cubes
- lemon slices, orange slices & fresh mint, optional
Southern Strawberry Cake

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- box white cake mix (without pudding)
- 1 - (3 ounce) package strawberry jello
- 1 - tablespoon self rising flour
- 4 - teaspoons granulated sugar
- 3/4 - cup vegetable oil
- 4 - eggs
- 1/2 - cup water
- 5 - ounces frozen strawberries, thawed and well drained (reserve any juice)

Place pasta, tomatoes, onion, garlic, basil, in a large stock pot
- 12 ounces pasta (I used Linguine)
- 1 can (15 ounces) diced tomatoes with liquid ( I used zesty red pepper flavor)
- 1 large sweet onion, cut in julienne strips
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano leaves
- 2 large sprigs basil, chopped
- 4 1/2 cups vegetable broth (regular broth and NOT low sodium)
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- Parmesan cheese for garnish

- 10 slices white bread
- 1 can apple pie filling
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup sugar

let's do it Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil
- 1 1/4 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 3)
- 1 Tbsp canola or vegetable oil
- 2/3 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tsp salad seasoning
- 1/2 tsp celery salt
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 cup chopped celery or carrots (optional)
- salt and pepper

Fill glass with ice. Put splash of grenadine over ice
- splash of grenadine
- 2 shots of Bacardi Razz Rum
- 2 shots of Blue Curaçao Liquer

Strawberry Punch Bowl Cake

Bake cake in two round cake pans and set aside to cool
- 1 yellow cake mix
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding
- 1 lg. can crushed pineapple, drained
- 2 (10 oz.) pkgs. frozen strawberries
- 2 bananas
- 1 (16 oz.) carton Cool Whip
Fresh Asparagus and Bacon Pasta

This is a recipe that makes a great side dish or you can even serve it for lunch or a light supper
- 5-6 strips of bacon, fried crisp and crumbled (reserve drippings)
- 8 oz. bow tie pasta (could use penne or rotini also)
- 1 lb. fresh asparagus, cut in 1 inch pieces on the diagonal
- 3 Tbs. butter
- 1/2 cup onion, diced
- 1 Tbs. garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Parmesan cheese, divided (fresh is best)
- 1/2 cup half and half cream
- 1 Tbs. parsley, chopped
Chicken Club Ring!

Dice the chicken in a fairly small dice
- 2 cups chicken breast meat, chopped fine
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard
- 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1 Tbs. dry Ranch dressing mix
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4-5 slices crisp cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1/4 cup sliced green onion, including some of the green blades (optional)
- 8 slices Swiss or Provolone cheese slices, cut in half
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
Cheeseburger Casserole

- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 (28-oz.) can chopped tomatoes, with juice
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 8 ounces wide egg noodles
- Cooking spray
- 2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
