Vegetable Salad

Combine vegetables, cheese, bacon and a little minced onion or 1 tsp
- Dressing:
- 1 head cauliflower, bite-size pieces
- 1 bunch broccoli, bite-size pieces
- 4 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 lb. bacon (diced) fried until crisp drain well
- Minced onion
- 1 c. Miracle Whip
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 c. sour cream, or imitation
Hot Chocolate Mix

Mix well and store in airtight container
- 1 (8-qt) pkg. powdered milk
- 1 (1-lb) pkg. Nestle Quik
- 1 (6-oz) jar Coffee-Mate
- 2 c. powdered sugar
Hot Potato Salad

Cook potatoes in jackets. Peel and dice
- 3 lbs. potatoes
- 8 slices bacon
- 1/2 c. cider vinegar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 T. brown sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 T. flour
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 2 c. celery, diced
- 1 lg onion, finely chopped
Chicken Elegance

Grease a 2-quart casserole
- 4 c. diced, cooked chicken
- 1 lb. hard cheese, grated
- 1 c. dry macaroni (or more)
- Onion and salt to taste
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1 qt. milk
Crab Rangoon

Combine all ingredients, except skins
- 2-6 1/2 oz. cans drained crabmeat
- 2-8 oz. pkgs. cream cheese at room temperature
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 4 T. Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 lbs. Rangoon skins or won ton skins
Cranberry Bread

Place juice and rind in cup and add enough boiling water to make 3/4 cup
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1 c. cranberries, sliced
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 3 T. creamed butter
- Juice of 1 orange + grated rind
Pasta Salad

The nice thing about this recipe is that as it marinates in the refrigerator it gets better
- 1 (12 oz) box Rainbow Rotini
- 1 (12 oz) box Rainbow Rotini
- 2 (16 oz each) bottles Italian dressing
- 2 c. chopped fresh broccoli
- 2 c. thinly sliced carrots
- 2 c. chopped cauliflower
- 2 c. chopped celery
- 1 large yellow pepper, chopped
- 1 (8 oz) pkg. Swiss cheese, cubed
- 1 (8 oz) pkg. pepperjack cheese cubed
- 1 (8 oz) pkg. sharp cheddar chopped
- 1 pint grape or cherry tomatoes
- 2 cans whole black olives
- 1 large red pepper, chopped
- 1 large green pepper, chopped
- 1 large orange pepper, chopped
"Knorr"Creamy Spinach Dip

Squeeze spinach until dry
- 1 (10-oz) pkg. frozen chopped spinach, thawed
- 1 1/2 c. dairy sour cream
- 1 c. mayonnaise
- 1 pkg. Knorr dry vegetable soup mix
- 1 (8-oz) can water chestnuts, finely chopped
- 3 green onions, finely chopped
Hot Weather Borsch

Place first 4 vegetables in a 3-quart saucepan and barely cover with boiling water
- 1/2 c. finely chopped carrots
- 1 c. finely chopped beets
- 1 T. butter/oleo
- 1 c. finely shredded cabbage
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Doppop sour cream
- Dill seed (garnish opt)
- 1 c. finely chopped onion
- 1 c. finely chopped celery
- 2 c. beef stock/broth
- 1 c. tomato pulp (may substitute 1 (11 1/2-oz) can tomato juice)
German Chocolate Pie

Into each pie shell, add 1/2 cup coconut and 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 stick margarine, melted
- 3 T. cocoa
- 3 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 1 1/2 T. flour
- Pinch salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 can Milnot
- 1 c. coconut
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 2 unbaked pie shells
