Swedish Apple Pie
By cooksalot
Mix flour, sugar, margarine or butter,(either melted or cut up) egg and pinch of salt together
- mix together:
- sprinkle over 4 or 5 apples that you have peeled and cored and sliced
- 1 Tbspsugar
- 1 tspcinnamon
- 1 call purpose flour
- 1 csugar
- 3/4 cmargarine (i use butter) chopped up or can melt the butter
- 1 egg
- pinch of salt
Texas Style Chili

In a small heavy skillet, toast cumin and coriander seeds until fragrant
- 1 tablespoon whole cumin seeds
- 1 1/2 teaspoons whole coriander seeds
- 4 pounds beef chuck roast or steak
- 1 teaspoon salt, more to taste
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, plus extra as needed
- 1 large yellow or white onion, chopped, plus extra chopped onion for serving
- 6 large garlic cloves, minced
- 4 to 7 large fresh green jalapeños (depending on how much heat you like), stemmed, seeded and chopped
- 3 tablespoons masa harina or 1 corn tortilla, torn into pieces (optional)
- 2 tablespoons ground pure chile powder, such as pasilla, Chimayo or ancho
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 (12-ounce) bottle Negra Modelo beer
- 1 28-ounce can diced tomatoes, or 3 10-ounce cans Ro-Tel canned tomatoes with green chiles
- 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate
- 3 whole dried large red chiles, such as New Mexico or guajillo
- Chopped fresh cilantro, for serving
- Fritos or warmed flour tortillas, for serving
Muffulletta Quesadilla

Place the olives in a food processor fitted with a steel blade and pulse until finely chopped
- 1 cup pimento-stuffed green olives
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup olive oil, divided
- 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
- 6 (8-inch) flour tortillas
- 6 slices (1/4 pound) mortadella
- 6 slices (about 1/4 pound) baked ham
- 12 slices (about 1/4 pound) Genoa salami
- 6 slices (about 1/4 pound) provolone cheese
- salt, to taste
Martha Washington's Devils Food Cake

Melt chocolate in a saucepan over a very low heat, stirring constantly until smooth
- 4 squares (1 ounce) of unsweetened chocolate
- 2 Cups sugar
- 1 1/2 Cups buttermilk
- 2 Cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 Cup butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

In a medium bowl, combine all the ingredients and stir until fully incorporated

Baked Chicken Chimichangas

- 8oz pkg. cream cheese
- 8 oz. Pepperjack cheese, shredded
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. taco seasoning
- 1 lb. cooked chicken, shredded

Italian Chicken Soup

Cook pasta in a pot according to package directions, being sure not to overcook it
- 1 box Barilla Ditalini Pasta (very Short Macaroni-type Pasta Noodles)
- 1 Tablespoon Bertolli Olive Oil
- 1 whole Cut Up Fryer Chicken
- 8 cups College Inn Low Sodium Chicken Broth
- 1 whole Medium Onion, Diced
- 2 whole Green Bell Peppers, Diced
- 2 stalks Celery, Diced
- 2 whole Fresh Jalapenos, Diced
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 can (28-ounce) Hunt’s Can Whole Tomatoes
- 2 cups Great Value Heavy Cream

- 1 stick unsalted butter (1/2 C.) room temp.
- 3 large eggs
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract

- 1 9" pie shell, unbaked
1-Pan Cilantro Lime Chicken

Preheat oven to 375º F and season chicken breasts with salt and pepper
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1/2 cup yellow onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, finely chopped, plus extra for garnish
- 1 1/2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice, plus lime wedges for garnish
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
