This seems hardly fair, to create an entire recipe for just these little sweet potatoess
- 3-4 medium sweet potatoes (sometimes mislabeled as yams), peeled and cut into 1/2” thick circles (or semi-circles, if big around) Optional: if using young tender sweet potatoes, just give them a wash and leave the skin on.

This Olive Garden copycat recipe is the BEST
- After 2 1/2 hours of cooking:
- 1/2 lb. (about 3 links) Hot Italian sausages
- 4 - 6 medium russet potatoes, sliced and quartered or cubed
- 2 (14.5 oz) cans reduced sodium chicken broth
- 1/4 teaspoon dried chopped garlic, or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon onion salt, or to taste
- 1 cup water, more as needed
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups fresh kale or Swiss chard, cut or torn into small pieces
- 2 tablespoons crumbled bacon or real bacon bits, optional
