French's Crunchy Onion Chicken

Crush french fried onions with flour in plastic bag
- 2 cups (4 oz.) french's original fried onions
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 egg, beaten

Combine the first seven ingredients in a large mixing bowl; beat at medium speed for 3 minutes

Tip: If you have no buttermilk, you can make sour milk
- 1/2 cup nonfat buttermilk (see tip)
- 1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp. hot sauce
- 2 1/2 to 3 lbs. chicken legs, skin removed, trimmed
- 1/2 cup whole-wheat flour
- 2 tbsp. sesame seeds
- 1 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. dried thyme
