CREAMY COLESLAW

Mix all ingredients except cabbage, carrot and onion in large glass bowl
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 2 tsps lemon juice
- 2 tsps Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp celery seed
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/2 medium cabbage, finely shredded or chopped (4 cups)
- 1 small carrot, shredded (1/2 cup)
- 1 small onion, chopped (1/4 cup)
SPLIT PEA SOUP (Dottie)

Mix all ingredients. Be sure thyme and marjoram are powdered
- 2 cups split peas
- 2 quarts liquid, at least 3/4 of it chicken broth
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 Tbsp dried thyme
- 1 Tbsp dried marjoram
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 ham steak, chopped
BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKE PIE

Place rack in lowest position in oven; preheat oven to 425
- 1 (9 inch deep dish or 10 inch) unbaked pastry shell
- 1 (21 oz.) can Comstock Brand Blueberry Filling or Topping
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind, optional
- 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk (not evaporated milk)
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons ReaLemon Lemon Juice from concentrate
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
BANANA NUT BREAD

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 ripe bananas
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
MACARONI EGG SALAD RECIPE

Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain and rinse in cold water
- 1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard
- Dash pepper
- 1 celery rib, chopped
- 2 tablespoons chopped onion
- 1 hard-cooked egg, chopped
OLD FASHIONED CHOCOLATE CAKE

Preheat oven to 350 with rack in the center
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tsps baking soda
- 1 tsp table salt
- 2 cups hot water
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 Tbsps distilled white vinegar
- 1 Tbsp instant coffee granules
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
MOLTEN CHOCOLATE CAKE

Butter four 6-ounce custard cups or small ramekins
- Makes 4 small cakes
- 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
- ½ cup butter
- 1 Tbsp cabernet (or use 1 tsp almond extract)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 egg yolk
- 6 Tbsps flour
- ¼ tsp cinnamon and ginger each

- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 cup white or red wine
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
