Classic Italian Lasagna

Make the Red Sauce: (Can be made in advance)
- Lasagna:
- 9 regular lasagna noodles (or no-boil noodles)
- 1 pound shredded mozzarella cheese
- 8 ounce freshly grated parmesan cheese
- Red Sauce:*
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground Italian sausage
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 4 clove garlic , minced
- 1/2 large onion , chopped
- 1 1/2 cup fresh spinach leaves
- 1/2 bell pepper (red or green), chopped
- 16 ounce tomato sauce
- 6 ounce tomato paste
