***Blum’s Coffee Toffee Pie

One of my college friends, Deirdre Coyne, had a charge account at Blum’s and we use to order this dessert
- PASTRY SHELL
- 1/2 pkg pie crust mix
- 1 T water
- 1/4 cup Lt brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 t vanilla
- 3/4 C Fine chopped walnuts
- 1 square unsweetened chocolate grated
- FILLING
- 1/2 C soft butter
- 3/4 C granulated sugar
- 2 t instant coffee
- 2 eggs
- 1 square unsweetened chocolate -- melted/cooled
- TOPPING
- 2 C heavy cream
- 2 T instant coffee
- 1/2 C powdered sugar
- Chocolate curls
Twice-Baked Potatoes Recipe-Saveur

Heat oven to 450°. Put potatoes on a baking sheet and bake, turning occasionally, until tender, about 1 hour
- 4 russet potatoes (about 2 1⁄2 lb.), scrubbed
- 1 cup grated aged cheddar cheese
- 1 cup grated Gruyere cheese
- 1 ⁄2 cup sour cream
- 4 tbsp. unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tbsp. finely chopped chives
- 1 tbsp. finely chopped parsley
- 1 ⁄4 tsp. Tabasco hot sauce
- 1 ⁄4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 8 slices cooked bacon, cut into 1⁄4" strips
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 ⁄4 tsp. paprika
Cilantro Butter

Stir together all ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1/4 cup minced fresh cilantro
- 4 garlic cloves, pressed
FROMAGE FORT

Remove the rind, hard spots and any mold from the cheese
- 1 pound assorted leftover cheeses, at room temperature
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (such as thyme, flat-leaf parsley, tarragon or basil; optional)
- 1 clove garlic (optional)
Steakhouse Chicken Parmesan

1. Heat oil in a 12" skillet until an instant-read thermometer reads 325°
- 1 cup canola oil
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 4 oz. each), pounded 1/4" thick
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup flour
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 1/2 recipe Piccolo Pete's marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella

Olive Cheese Bread
