To make the sauce, whisk together the hoisin sauce, white vinegar, soy sauce, cornstarch, and water in a bowl
- Sauce:
- 1/2 c hoisin sauce
- 1/4 c white vinegar
- 3 Tbs soy sauce
- 3 Tbs cornstarch
- 1 1/2 c water
- 1 Tbs vegetable oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 Tbs fresh ginger, minced
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- Coating and frying:
- 1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3 large egg whites
- 1 1/2 c cornstarch
- 1/2 c all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 2 green onions, green parts thinly sliced
- Sesame seeds

Instructions Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
- 4 cups assorted cherry and/or grape tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher or sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Creole or Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

- 1 Tbsp (2 circles) Tamari Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp (2-3 shakes) Sherry
- 2-3 dashes White Pepper

- 2 tablespoon Kosher salt
- For the Chicken:
- 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 pound halved bacon slices
- 1 large pineapple, peeled, cored, and cut into 1-inch cubes
- To Cook:
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- Wooden skewers, soaked in water for at least 30 minutes prior to use
- Type of fire: Direct

Instructions To make the cake: Adjust oven rack to middle position and preheat oven to 350F/180C
- For the Carrot Cake:
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (12 1/2 ounces)
- 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon table salt
- 1 1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon (I prefer to use 1 tablespoon & omit the nutmeg & cloves)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 pound (450 grams) peeled carrots, (about 6 to 7 carrots) (*see note below)
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar (10 1/2 ounces)
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar (3 1/2 ounces)
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil, safflower oil, or canola oil
- For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 10 tablespoons unsalted butter, (5 ounces), softened to room temperature
- 3 cups confectioners' sugar (12 ounces), sift if lumpy
- 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 1 pound (450) COLD cream cheese, (brick-style cut into 1-inch pieces or 32 Kiri squares)

Bring a pot of water to boil and begin to cook egg noodles according to package directions
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup yellow onion chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic minced (about 1-2 cloves)
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- salt and pepper to taste
- egg noodles cooked according to package directions

- Flour - 1 3/4 cup
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Baking powder - 2 1/2 teaspoons
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
- Butter, cold, cubed - 3 tablespoons
- Cream cheese, cold, cubed - 60 g (about 4 tablespoons or 1/4 of 250 g package)
- Sharp cheddar, grated - 150 g
- Double smoked cheddar, grated - 100 g
- Fresh thyme - 1 or 2 tablespoons
- Egg - 1 extra large
- Half and half cream - 100 ml (see note) + 1 tablespoon for brushing
