Beef ho fun noodle--a comforting rice noodle soup with spice braised beef
- 500 g fresh ho fun noodle (if you are using dried ones, pre-soak 300g until soft)
- 1 pound beef brisket, cut into middle size chunks
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 3 green onions, whites and green part chopped separately
- 1 thumb ginger, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, sliced
- 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
- 3-4 L clean water
- Pinch of salt
- Coriander, chopped for topping
- 1 head leafy vegetable
- Spices
- 2-3 star anises
- 1 bay leave
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 1 bark cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon Sichuan peppercorn
- 1/4 teaspoon fennel seeds
- 1 nutmeg
- 1 cardamom

- 1/3 cup (76g) unsalted butter
- 8 oz. dark chocolate, finely chopped

Instructions Turn your slow cooker on to sear or brown
- 3 pounds of ground chuck
- 1 large yellow onion or 2 small ones
- 5 cloves of garlic
- 2 carrots
- 2 ribs of celery
- 16 ounces or 2 containers of cremini mushrooms
- 2 28-ounce cans of crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup of white wine
- 5-6 pieces of fresh thyme
- 1 small container of fresh basil
- 3 bay leaves
- 2 tablespoons dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Kosher salt
Lemon Chess Pie

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 1 unbaked 9" deep dish pie shell
- 1 stick butter, melted (1/2 cup)
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (you will need about 2 fresh lemons)
- 2 Tbs. lemon zest
- 4 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 Tbs. flour
- 2 Tbs. cornmeal
- 1 tsp. white vinegar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt

- 1/2 teaspoon juice from jar of jalapenos

Instructions First, bring a small pot with water to a boil
- Rice Noodles or any noodles you'd like
- 1/2 cup cube or 1 of Chicken broth
- 1 tsp of sesame oil
- 1 tsp of ginger powder
- 1 tsp of chili pepper
- 1/4 cup grated carrot
- 1/3 cup of corn
- 1/3 cup of peas
- 1 hard boiled egg
- 1/3 cup of chopped spinach
- Dry seaweed
- Soy sauce
- salt/pepper to taste
