Sugar Cookies Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and prepare baking sheet with a silicone mat
- Sugar Cookies:
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water
- GLAZE:
- 1 package (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water (110° to 115°)

Easy 1 bowl cake
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup baking cocoa
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup buttermilk or 1 cup milk with 1 Tbsp. vinegar added, stir and leave sit for 5 minutes then use immediately
- 2 eggs

White Cake

For the cake: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and make sure that the rack is in the center of your oven
- For the cake:
- 3 cups cake flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup milk, at room temperature (I used 1%)
- 1 1/4 teaspoons clear vanilla extract (you can use regular vanilla, but the coloring will make the cake not be a bright white)
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 5 large egg whites, at room temperature
- For the white buttercream frosting:
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 teaspoons clear vanilla extract
- dash of salt
- 1 (2 lb) bag powdered sugar (about 7 cups)
- 1/2 cup milk (or heavy cream)
