Heat peanut oil in shallow baking pan in 350 degree oven for about 5 minutes
- 2 tbsp peanut oil
- 1 lb. salted Virginia type peanuts
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
Chocolate/Butterscotch Coated Peanuts

- 1 pkg. (6 oz) semi-sweet chocolate or butterscotch bits

- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Dixie Peanut Brittle

In a heavy saucepan heat sugar, syrup, water and salt to a rolling boil
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cups raw shelled virginia type peanuts, skins on
- 2 tsp baking soda
Chocolate Pound Cake

Sift flour and dry ingredients together two times
- 1 stick butter
- 1 stick margarine
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3 cups sugar
- 5 large eggs
- 3 cups flour sifted
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoon vanilla (added to milk)
