1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F

  • APPLE FILLING:
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon granulated white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • CINNAMON-SUGAR FILLING:
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, very soft
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • CINNAMON ROLL DOUGH:
  • 2 cups Gold Medal® All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated white sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • ICING:
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons milk (additional, as needed)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (lightly sifted to remove lumps)
