In 3-quart (3 L) saucepan, heat milk, water and butter to boiling
- 2 cups (500 mL) milk
- 3/4 cup (175 mL) water
- 2 tbsp (25 mL) butter or margarine
- 1 pkg (1 oz/28 g) ranch salad dressing mix
- 1 cup (250 mL) sour cream
- 1 pkg (180 g) Betty Crocker* Homestyle Mashed Potatoes
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 tbsp (25 mL) thinly sliced green onions

Instructions Heat oven to 350 degrees F
- Cupcakes:
- 1 jar (10 oz) maraschino cherries, drained, liquid reserved
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup maraschino cherry liquid
- 1/4 cup whole milk
- 2 teaspoons almond extract
- 2 egg whites, beaten
- Optional: pink food color
- Frosting:
- Reserved 1 tablespoon maraschino cherry liquid
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar

- 2 c. chicken broth

- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- Icing (to fill cookies)
- Icing:
- 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
- 2 Tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract or vanilla (optional)
- Gel paste food coloring (black, orange) for decoration
