1. Heat oil in large pot till hot

  • 1 1/2 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 1/2 pounds Beef stew meat
  • 1 small rutabaga
  • 4 parsnips, peeled and cut into large pieces
  • 2 large Carrot; in chunks
  • 1 large onion, 1/4 inch sliced
  • 3 stalks celery cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 28 oz. can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 can (15 oz) beef broth
  • 8 ounces red wine
  • 2 cloves garlic clove, minced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves
  • 1 pinch ground allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter (no substitutes), softened
  • Servings: 8
  • Tips
  • I served this with mashed potatoes, sprinkled all over with fresh parsley. Excellent mid winter meal.

  • Buns:
  • 2 eggs, room temperature (or flaxseed meal & water egg substitute)
  • 1/3 cup sour cream, dairy or non-dairy (or So Delicious® plain coconut yogurt or coconut Greek style yogurt)
  • 1/2 cup milk, or non-dairy milk (So Delicious® Coconut Milk or Almond +Protein Milk)
  • 3 Tbs. melted coconut oil, or light olive oil or grapeseed oil
  • 6 Tbs. light agave nectar or honey
  • 1/2 tsp. orange or lemon extract
  • 2 cups gfJules™ All Purpose Gluten Free Flour
  • 2 Tbs. flaxseed meal (or use 2 Tbs. gfJules™ Flour)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice (or mixture of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves)
