  • Marinade:
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin, (optional)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 dashes ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped Parsley leaves

Cook the pasta according to package directions reserving 1 cup of the cooking liquid

  • 1 pound of pasta (linguine is our favorite for this)
  • 1 cup reserved pasta cooking water
  • 3 Tablespoons olive oil, divided, (2T plus 1T)
  • 4 cups chopped cremini or mixed mushrooms
  • 1 Tablspoon minced fresh rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh thyme
  • pinch of red pepper flakes
  • 2 teaspoons shoyu
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 Tablespoons margarine
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 small onion, minced (1/3 cup)
  • 3 Tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1 Tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • 4 Tablespoons white wine
  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk (I recommend not subbing w. another non dairy milk)
  • salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 pounds skirt steak
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil, divided
