  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 3-4 cups unbleached all-purpose flour

  • 2 1/4 teaspoons rapid rise, bread machine, or instant yeast
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup very finely shredded Parmesan cheese (fresh is best but you can use canned as well)

Optional: If you have a rind from a Parmesan cheese add it to the pot to simmer along with the sauce

  • Olive oil
  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground steak or use 1/2 lean beef and 1/2 ground pork
