Hamburger Stroganoff

sauté onion and garlic in butter over medium heat
- 1/2 cup minced onion
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 1/4 c butter
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 lb. fresh mushrooms (sliced)
- 1 can (10 1/2 oz.) cream of chicken soup, undiluted
- 1 cup commercial sour cream
- Parsley
Crusty Bread

Add water and mix until a shaggy mixture forms
- 3 cups unbleached all purpose flour
- 1 3/4 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Instant or Rapid-rise yeast
- 1 1/2 cups water In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, salt and yeast.
Sausage Quiche'

Oven at 375 Cook sausage and onion, drain
- 1/2 lb. sausage
- 1/2 C onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 C (6 oz.) sharp cheese, shredded
- 2 Tbls flour
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 small(2/3 c) evaporated milk
- Unbaked pie crust shell
- (note for larger than normal size pie double recipe and bake a bit longer)
Oven-Roasted Vegetables

Makeup Vitamix Heating & Cooling Preheat the oven to 450°F
- 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1'' cubes
- 2 large carrots, cut crosswise into 3/4'' slices
- 2 medium parsnips, cut into 1'' slices
- 1 medium onion, quartered and cut through to the root into 1'' slices
- 1 turnip, cut into 1'' cubes
- 2 small zucchini, cut into 1'' half moons
- 3 garlic cloves, coarsely chopped
- 3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 Tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 Tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 1-1/2 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp fresh parsley, minced
- 2 Tbsp Parmigiano-Reggiano, freshly grated
Irish Soda Bread

- 1 large egg
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 Tbsp butter, melted
- 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup raisins

This is an easy-to-make crust that is flaky and tender and tastes like butter
- 1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, preferably nonaluminum
- 4 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch bits
- 3 tablespoons regular or reduced-fat sour cream
Royal Icing

Beat all the ingredients on low until thoroughly combined
- Perfect for decorated cookies, this royal icing has a hint of lemon for flavor, pipes easily and dries crisp.
- 4 cups sifted confectioner's sugar
- 3 tbsp. meringue powder
- 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
- 5 tbsp. water
- 1/4 tsp. lemon extract
- Beat all the ingredients on low until thoroughly combined. Switch mixer to medium and beat until peaks form, approximately 5-7 minutes.
- Yield: About 3 cups
Mochaccino Bundles

Directions Heat the oven to 400°F
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened chocolate
- 2 tsp. instant coffee powder
- 1 pkg. (17.3 ounces) Pepperidge Farm® Puff Pastry Sheets (2 sheets), thawed
- 40 miniature marshmallows
- Confectioners' sugar
