- 3 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting the cake pans

- 2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter, softened
- 5 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Dutch-processed cocoa
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar

Spicy Pasta Salad With Smoked Gouda, Tomatoes and Basil

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil
- Kosher salt
- 12 ounces mostaccioli or penne pasta
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup white vinegar, plus more if needed
- Freshly ground pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoons adobo sauce from a can of chipotles (or 1 minced chipotle)
- 1 10 -ounce package grape tomatoes, halved lengthwise
- 1/2 pound smoked gouda cheese, cut into small cubes
- 24 fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced
PEPPERMINT ICE CREAM BON BONS

- 1 bag (7.5 ounces) peppermint candies, finely crushed
- 8 scoops vanilla ice cream

APPLE PIE FRIES

- 1 Package of Pillsbury Refrigerated pie Crust (2 ct.)
- Approx. 1.5 cups of Apple Pie Filling
- 1 Egg
- Sparkle Sugar for sprinkling..a.k.a. “Salt”
- Caramel Sauce and/or Ice Cream for dipping
- A food processor..optional!
- A decorative edge roll-cutter..optional!
Crab Cakes with Remoulade Sauce

Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat
- 1 tablespoon olive oil, plus more for frying
- 1/2 medium yellow onion, minced
- 2 teaspoons seafood seasoning, such as Old Bay
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 pound jumbo lump crab meat
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 slices bread, crusts removed, toasted and chopped into tiny pieces
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Mixed salad greens, for serving
- Remoulade Sauce, recipe follows
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon capers, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
SAUCY PORK CHOPS

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Brown pork chops on both sides in frying pan
- 1 can beer
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 clove garlic (or 1/8 tsp. powdered)
- pepper to taste
- 1 pound pork chops

Cheddar & Pimento Spread

Mix cream cheese and mayo in medium bowl until blended
- 2 oz. (1/4 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup KRAFT Real Mayo Mayonnaise
- 1 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 2 Tbsp. chopped pimentos
- 2 green onions, chopped woven wheat crackers
Moroccan Grilled Chicken Kabobs

Marinate the chicken in the mixture of the remaining ingredients for at least 20 minutes to overnight
- 1 pound boneless-skinless chicken, cut into small pieces
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (~1/2 lemon)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin, toasted and ground
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
