Easy Chicken and Rice

Melt the shortening in a large skillet over medium high heat
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 1 (3 pound) whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 3/4 cup instant rice, uncooked
- 1 chopped green bell pepper (optional)
- 2 cups water
- 1/8 cup chicken rice soup mix
A Carolina BBQ Rub

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and mix well; use as a dry rub on beef, chicken, lamb or pork
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cumin
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 tablespoons freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup paprika
Italian Bread (Bread Machine)

- 32 ounce bag of Tater Tots
- One 10 3/4 ounce can of cream of celery soup
- One 10 3/4 ounce can of cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon each Salt, pepper, and garlic
- 16 ounce bag of mixed vegetables
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
