Italian Parmesan Bread for Bread Machine

I've been making this bread for years without measuring, and finally decided to write it down
- 1 1/2 cups water (or more, as needed)
- 4 cups flour
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon italian seasoning (or pizza seasoning)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 1/2 teaspoons yeast
Thick Chocolate Shake

In a blender, combine the ice cream, milk, chocolate drink mix and powdered egg whites
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup powdered chocolate drink mix
- 1 teaspoon powdered egg whites
Old Fashioned Onion Rings

Heat the oil in a deep-fryer to 365 degrees F (185 degrees C)
- 1 large onion, cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk, or as needed
- 3/4 cup dry bread crumbs
- seasoned salt to taste
- 1 quart oil for frying, or as needed
Hot And Sour Soup

Soak the dried mushrooms and tiger lily buds in warm water for 20 minutes
- 5 dried wood ear mushrooms
- 4 dried shiitake mushrooms
- 8 dried tiger lily buds
- 4 cups chicken stock
- 1/3 cup diced bamboo shoots
- 1/3 cup lean ground pork
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon white sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1/2 (16 ounce) package firm tofu, cubed
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onion
Leftover Mashed Potato Cakes

I searched the internet for a recipe to use up some left over mashed potatoes
- 1 egg
- 1 cup mashed potatoes (left over)
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1 green onion (finely chopped)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 -2 tablespoon milk
- 2 -3 tablespoons shortening or 2 -3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Crockpot Yogurt

1.) Plug in your crockpot, and turn it on LOW
- 4cups4 cups fresh not-about-to-expire milk (Whole milk will result in thicker yogurt... skim a lot runnier... if it's about to expire, your yogurt will be on the sour side. Trust me.)

Hearty Ham Casserole

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
- 2 cups potatoes, cubed
- 2 cups cooked ham, cubed
- 1 (15.25 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
- 1/4 cup finely minced fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon chopped onions
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 cups milk
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 4 ounces processed cheese food, shredded
Crockpot Refried Beans

Note: I haven't usually taken time to soak these beans overnight, and they've always been tasty and my family has ...
- 2 lbs pinto beans
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 Tbsp. jarred minced garlic
- Up to 2 1/2 Tbsp salt (This is the absolute max if you don't pre-soak your beans.)
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp cumin
- 10 cups hot water
White Icing

- 3 cups powdered sugar
