- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 C Walnuts, chopped
- 1 C. Powdered Sugar

1. Sift the flours, baking soda, baking powder and salt into a bowl
- 2 cups minus 2 tablespoons (8 1/2 ounces) cake flour
- 1 2/3 cups (8 1/2 ounces) bread flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons coarse salt (I used sea salt)
- 1 1/4 cups unsalted butter (2 1/2 sticks)
- 1 1/4 cups (10 ounces) packed light brown sugar
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons (8 ounces) granulated white sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 20 ounces bittersweet chocolate chips (I used semi-sweet)

This tasty pear cake recipe provides a unique dessert alternative to traditional organic dessert
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup cold unsalted butter (1 1/2 sticks), cut into small pieces
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- Zest of 1 large lemon (1 Tbsp.)
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 2 cups pears (peeled, cored, and cut into 1/2-inch pieces)
- 1 large egg white
- 2 Tbsp. sugar

- 3 C Carrots, grated
- 2 C Flour
- 2 C Sugar
- 2 tsp Baking Soda
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon

- 1/2 C Butter-softened ( 1 stick )

In a large bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar & cinnamon; cut in butter until crumbly

1. SALAD: Toss the greens with radishes and tomatoes
- SALAD:
- 6 cups lettuce — spring type, field greens (or arugula and Romaine)
- 1/2 cup radishes — chopped
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes — matchsticks
- 1/2 cup red bell pepper — julienned
- 6 tablespoons Feta cheese — crumbled
- LIME-CILANTRO DRESSING:
- 1/4 teaspoon jalapeno chile pepper — minced
- 3 tablespoons white onion — minced
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 2 tablespoons splenda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cilantro — chopped
