Cuban Ropa Vieja - Crock Pot (Oamc)

A slow cooked Cuban "Beef Stew"
- 2 lbs beef flank steak
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, seeded and sliced into strips
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 teaspoon fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
Moroccan Chicken Stew Slow Cooker

Place all of the ingredients into a 3 1/2 or 4 quart crockpot and add chicken stock to cover (about 3-4 cups)
- Moroccan Chicken Stew
- 2 chicken breasts, cut into cubes
- 2 carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 small sweet potato, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 1 T tomato paste
- 2 t cinnamon
- 2 t cumin
- 1/2 t coriander
- 1/2 t cayenne pepper
- 1 cup green beans, cut into 1 inch pieces
- Chicken stock
- Place all of the ingredients into a 3 1/2 or 4 quart crockpot and add chicken stock to cover (about 3-4 cups). Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Serve over couscous or rice and sprinkle with chopped cilantro
Filipino Adobo (Pork or Chicken) With Slow Cooker Variation

For about 20 years this recipe was just a lovely memory
- 3 -4 lbs pork (cut in 2-inch cubes) or 3 -4 lbs chicken (cut into serving pieces)
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup water
- 2 -3 bay leaves, crumbled
- 2 teaspoons peppercorns (whole)
- 4 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3/4 teaspoon ground pepper
- 2 teaspoons salt (optional, I do not put it in, it is what the original cook uses)
Quick French Onion Meatballs

- 2 (18 ounce) packages frozen cooked meatballs, partially thawed
- 1 (12 ounce) jar savory beef gravy
- 1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
- 1 tablespoon dry sherry

- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 pkg. (3 oz. each) ramen noodle soup mix
- 2 pkg. (16 oz. each) coleslaw blend (cabbage slaw mix)
