- 1 clove garlic, minced

- 1/4 C packed fresh basil leaves
- 1 C ricotta or cottage cheese
- 1/4 C romano or parmesan cheese
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
Rhubarb Applesauce Muffins

- 2 C all-purpose flour
- 1 C whole wheat flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/3 C packed brown sugar
- 1 1/4 C applesauce
- 1/2 C oil
- 2 C rhubarb, cut into 1/4" pieces
- cinnamon & brown sugar for topping
Fruit Mixture

- Crust:
- 1 pk. graham crackers, crushed
- 1/2 C sugar
- 6 T butter, melted
- 1 qt. drained strawberries
- 1 1/2 cans pineapple tidbits (drained)
- 4 bananas
- 2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 C sugar
- 1 C nuts
- 2 large bowls of cool whip (soft)
Coffee Crumb Cake

Mix brown sugar, shortening, salt & flour as for pie crust
- 2 C brown sugar (packed)
- 3/4 C shortening
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 C flour
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 C buttermilk
- 1 tsp. soda
Chewy Oatmeal Cookies (Caroline’s)

Bake in moderate oven
- 1 C sifted all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 3/4 C shortening (soft)
- 1 1/2 C firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 C oats, uncooked
- 1 C raisins
- 1/2 C English walnuts
Butter Dream Cookies

Preheat oven to 350°. Cream together butter and shortening until creamy
- 1/2 C butter
- 1/2 C shortening
- 1/2 C sugar
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 2 1/4 C flour
- maraschino cherries
Thank You Cherry Pie Filling Chocolate Cake

Mix all together by hand until ingredients are all mixed
- Icing:
- 1 box Devil’s Food cake mix
- 1 can cherry pie filling (not the real large size)
- 2 unbeaten eggs
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 1/4 C Crisco (or more)
- Fairly good T oleo
- 1 tsp. almond flavoring
- Milk to moisten
Oatmeal Cookies (Edna Bruce)

- 1 1/2 C sugar
- 1 1/2 C oleo
- 1 1/2 C flour
- 1/2 T baking soda
- Dash of salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 C instant or quick oatmeal

- 1 1/2 C sour cream
- 1 1/2 C sour cherries
- 1/2 C butter, softened
Bacon, Cheese & Tomato Crescents

- 1 can (8 oz.) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 4 oz. cream cheese, softened (plain or chive & onion)
- 1/4 C finely chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 C finely chopped red peppers
- 4 slices bacon, crisply cooked, drained & chopped
