Our Favorite Gingerbread

Mix all
- 1/2 C shortening
- 1 C sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 C molasses
- 2 C flour
- 1 C hot water add last
Beer Bread

Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with butter

- 3 3 3 C whole wheat flour
- 1 1 1 T baking powder
- 1/4 1/4 1/4 C honey
- 1 1 ounce) bottle 1 (12 ounce) bottle beer
Wreath Cookies

Preheat oven to 400°. Thoroughly cream butter and sugar
- 1 1/2 C butter
- 1 C sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 3 1/2 - 4 C flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- buttercream icing
- green sugar
- red cinnamon candies (red hots)
Chinese Fried Walnuts

Add walnuts to boiling water
- 4 C walnuts
- 1/2 C sugar
- vegetable oil
- salt
Brown Sugar Cut-Out Cookies

Mix all ingredients. Refrigerate dough overnight
- 1 C shortening
- 2 eggs
- 2 C brown sugar
- 2/3 C milk
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 5-6 C flour
Tiramisu Cake

1. Preheat oven to 350°F
- Cake:
- 1 white cake mix
- 4 tsp. instant coffee powder
- 1/4 C coffee (may use instant coffee powder to make)
- 2 T Kahlua
- Filling:
- 2 - 8 oz. pkgs. cream cheese
- 1/2 C heavy cream
- 5 T sour cream
- 1/2 C powdered sugar
- 4 T Kahlua
- Frosting:
- 2 C heavy cream
- 1/4 C powdered sugar
- 4 T Kahlua
- Garnish:
- 2 T unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 (1 ounce) square semisweet chocolate
Fruit Salsa w/ Cinnamon Chips

Chop all fruits. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients
- Cinnamon Chips:
- 2 kiwi
- 2 apples - peeled, cored & diced
- 8 oz. raspberries
- 1 lb. strawberries
- 2 T white sugar
- 1 T brown sugar
- 3 T fruit preserves, any flavor

- butter
- cinnamon
- white sugar
Rhubarb Sauce

Add rhubarb and sugars to large pan on low - medium heat; mix well
- 16 C rhubarb, chopped
- 2 C granulated sugar
- 1 C brown sugar
- zest of 1 lemon
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1/2 pint red raspberries
Cake Balls

Mix all ingredients on medium speed until ingredients form a ball
- 2 C crumbled cake scraps
- 2 T powdered sugar
- 2 T cocoa powder (optional)
- 1/4 C chopped anything (nuts, chocolate chips, M&Ms, etc....)
- 2 shots liqueur (amaretto, etc.)
