Let 'em cool to room temp and then chill in the refrigerator for as long as you can stand it
- First you get a cookie sheet (one with an edge) and line it with foil and then grease the foil. Trust me on this: LINE THE PAN.
- Bring 1 cup butter and 1 cup brown sugar (don't make me tell you to use dark brown sugar, you oughta know that by now) to a boil in a saucepan and simmer it for about 5 minutes.
- Put a layer of saltines on the cookie sheet, close together. Pour the butter/brown sugar mixture over the crackers and bake for about 6 to 10 minutes (depending on your oven -- pay attention) at 350 degrees.
- Remove and immediately pour a 12 ounce bag of chocolate chips ove the crackers, spreading them as they melt (doesn't it just melt your heart to think about it?).
- Sprinkle that with 1/2 of a 12 ounce bag of bits of brickle.
